Huddersfield new boy Anton Robinson aims to make the starting line-up for the season's opener against Bury on Saturday.
Robinson signed a three-year deal with the Terriers on Monday and jumped at the chance of following former Bournemouth team-mate Donal McDermott to the Galpharm Stadium.
The 25-year-old told the club's official website: "I want to hit the ground running and will try my hardest in training to try and get in the forefront of the gaffer's mind for selection on Saturday."
Robinson, manager Lee Clark's eighth summer signing, played alongside McDermott in the same Bournemouth side that lost out to Huddersfield in the play-off semi-finals in May.
He added: "I've spoken to the manager at length and he explained that he liked what he saw from me over the two legs of the play-offs and that if I can replicate that over the course of the season he will be very happy."
