Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade is still looking to strengthen his attack before the new season.
Jamie Cureton has been added to the ranks but Slade is looking for more firepower after Scott McGleish - who netted 18 times in all competitions last season - joined Bristol Rovers.
Speaking after Orient's 3-1 friendly win at Braintree Town, Slade said: "I would like to add one more forward and then probably a couple of loans as the season progresses.
"You get close and sometimes the door shuts in your face but we're hopeful that we can bring a permanent signing in before long."
Midfield trialist Kieran Djilali gave Slade food for thought by scoring twice against Braintree, and could yet be handed a contract.
"He took his goals really well - he couldn't have taken them any better - I'm pleased for him," added Slade.
