Morecambe have completed the signing of striker Danny Carlton, sealing a welcome return for the Shrimps hero.
The forward scored the decisive goal at Wembley to take Morecambe to the Football League in 2007.
Carlton re-signed for the Shrimps in February after being released by Bury, and impressed in his 15 games at the end of last season.
The 27-year-old says he is delighted to be back at the Globe Arena and is looking forward to the new season.
Speaking to the club's official website, Carlton said: "It is a great move for me. Everyone knows how much I love this club and I am really excited to be part of the squad.
"After a couple of frustrating years because of injuries I really hope I can show the Morecambe fans what I am capable of again."
Manager Jim Bentley added: "Danny was great for us at the end of last season - I always wanted to keep him here and I am delighted to have him around."
