Rookie Tranmere striker Max Power has hailed the rise of Dale Jennings as inspiration for his own fledgling career.
Highly-rated forward Jennings began last season in the youth team but made his first-team debut, scored six times and was named and the club's Young Player of the Season.
Power, who is entering his first season as a professional after spending a decade in Rovers' youth system , told the club's official website: "I've been at Tranmere for 10 years now and coming through the Centre of Excellence and youth system has helped me loads.
"You only have to look at Dale and what he's done in the last 12 months. That's what I want to be like.
"I want to be playing every week and scoring goals for the club and getting the recognition he's been getting. Seeing what he has done has made me hungry."
