Swansea midfielder returns on season-long loan

Wycombe have re-signed Swansea midfielder Scott Donnelly on a season-long loan deal. Skysports.com revealed earlier on Monday that Donnelly was set to return to Wycombe and the League One club have now confirmed the news. Donnelly, 23, made 19 appearances and scored three times having arrived on loan from the south Wales outfit in December, helping Wanderers claim automatic promotion. Chairboys boss Gary Waddock told the club's official website: "He played a big part in our promotion and we are delighted to welcome back a very good player into the group. "We started to see the best of him at the back end of his loan and hopefully he can kick on next season." Donnelly added: "It's taken a while but I'm glad it's all done. It's a great club, I love all the lads and together we showed what we were all about last season. "I'm pleased I'll be here for the whole season so I can really concentrate on my football." Donnelly joined Swansea from Aldershot last summer and made one Carling Cup start and one substitute league appearance before linking up with Wycombe.
