Allen secures utility player after working with him at MK Dons and Barnet
Notts County have snapped up Jude Stirling on a two-year contract following his recent release by MK Dons.
Stirling, who can operate in a number of positions, was allowed to leave MK Dons after the club were knocked out of the League One play-offs.
He had spent four years with the club and was initially signed during Magpies manager Martin Allen's time in charge at stadium:mk.
Allen also signed Stirling on loan during his recent spell back at Barnet and is looking forward to having the 28-year-old in his squad again.
"Jude can play in a number of positions including left-back, right-back, centre-back, central midfield or holding midfield," Allen told the club's official website.
"He has been brought here as a squad player. He's great in the dressing room with all of the players. He's very dangerous in the final third and he's very helpful in our own defensive third.
"He's a good player and a good man to have in our squad."
