Bournemouth manager Lee Bradbury is hoping to keep loan stars Adam Smith and Donal McDermott at the club next season.

The young duo played pivotal roles in helping the Cherries reach the League One play-offs this season where they were narrowly beaten by Huddersfield on penalties in the semi-finals.

Smith and McDermott are expected to leave Tottenham and Manchester City respectively this summer, and Bradbury says he is always looking to strengthen his squad, despite a hugely successful campaign.

"Both of the lads have been offered permanent contracts and that is ongoing at the moment, but we'd like to bring them both on board because they are very good players," Bradbury told skysports.com.

"We've offered Adam Smith a contract and have contacted Donal McDermott's agent about keeping him here, so they are both ongoing as we speak.

"I might bring in one or two because we are always looking to strengthen and progress, as we never want to stand still or go backwards.

"We are focused on getting back to a similar stage that we have achieved this season and hopefully even better, so I will be definitely looking to bring in some quality players."
