Midfielder waiting to see whether Swansea win promotion

Swansea City's Scott Donnelly is unsure where he will be playing next season after a successful loan period with Wycombe Wanderers this term. The former Aldershot midfielder helped the Chairboys gain automatic promotion from League Two this season, making 19 appearances after joining in January. However, with the Swans just 90 minutes from playing Premier League football next season, the 23-year-old says he would be happy to return to Wycombe to play in League One. "I'd definitely want to be playing regularly again next season, but I'd be happy to come back on loan to Wycombe again and play League One football if they wanted me to return," Donnelly told skysports.com. "At the same time I'd be happy to play for Swansea next season if required, so we will just have to wait and see what happens when pre-season begins."

Passion

Should Swansea triumph over Reading at Wembley they would become the first Welsh club to feature in the Premier League and Donnelly believes that they would add something different to the top flight. He added: "The squad has been unbelievable this season to achieve what they have achieved and I firmly believe that they will go all the way into the top flight. "I don't think that there are many sides that can stop the way that they play because they play some great stuff. "To be the first Welsh side to compete in the English top flight would be a massive achievement. "The gaffer has said before that the Premier League would be a better place with a Welsh club in there and I certainly agree. "The passion for football and success in Wales is there for everyone to see."
