Matty Robson is hoping to win a new deal at Carlisle after reverting back to his role as a full-back.

The 26-year-old, who started his career at Hartlepool in defence but had been playing as a winger for the Cumbrians, is looking to win an extension to his contract, which expires this summer. Robson, who made his 100th appearance for the club in Saturday's win over Colchester, said: "I'm enjoying my football again and it's great to be in a team that is doing well." Robson added: "I'm really enjoying the role that I have at the moment. I'm getting my head round it more and more and I think I'm playing well. "It's good to be able to keep a place in the team on the way that you're playing, so I'll just carry on doing that. "We haven't had any firm contract talks about next season yet, but hopefully something will come soon. I'd love to stay, it's a great club and I'll keep playing my football and we'll see what happens."
