County jibe spurred Cherries

Anton Robinson claims notes in Notts County's matchday programme inspired Bournemouth to a 2-0 win at Meadow Lane.

The 25-year-old midfielder netted the opening goal of the game on Saturday after reading comments, that were highlighted and pinned to the dressing room wall, which said: "Looking jaded, inexperienced and laboured in front of goal have been criticisms levelled at Bradbury's youthful squad." Further comments read: "While Championship football was highly sought-after by supporters with over-inflated expectations, perhaps back-to-back promotions would have been an overindulgence too far for a club that only staved off relegation to the Conference 24 months previous." Robinson told the club's official website: "All the lads were really disappointed with what they put in their programme. "I think it was a bit silly of them as it just gave us extra ammunition to go out there and show them what we were capable of and to put on a performance. It is hard to believe any club would put that in their programme. "We all found it disrespectful and it just made us even more determined to go out there and get the three points, even though we were confident going into the game."
