Bournemouth have terminated the contract of goalkeeper Jon Stewart with immediate effect due to ill discipline.

The 22-year-old, who has made five appearances for the Cherries this season, has been released following a second incident of misconduct. Stewart was recently suspended for two weeks by chairman Eddie Mitchell following alleged breaches of discipline and a poor attitude to training, and he has now been dismissed following another incident. A club statement on the official website said: "AFC Bournemouth have taken the appropriate action to terminate the contract of Jon Stewart with immediate effect following a further incident of misconduct."
