Hartlepool skipper Sam Collins has rubbished rumours suggesting he is set to retire at the end of the season.
Collins has been a rock at the heart of the Pools defence this season and at 33 feels he still has plenty to offer the club.
He said on his Twitter account: "I want to put on record there's no way I'm retiring at the end of the season, so these rumours going around are completely wrong.
"I feel fitter and stronger than I've ever done, so barring injury I will carry on playing as long as possible.
"So as long as HUFC want me I will do everything I possibly can to make myself available to play week in, week out."
