Brentford have signed rookie duo Adam Reed and Nathan Byrne on a month's loan from Sunderland and Tottenham respectively.

Midfielder Reed, 19, has joined from the Black Cats where he has yet to make a first-team appearance but is a regular for the reserves. "Adam is an exciting young prospect who is highly rated by his manager Steve Bruce, who feels his time with us will further his experience," said boss Nicky Forster. "His signing will give us more options in the middle of the park." Defender Byrne, 18, has signed from Tottenham and both players are set to go straight into the squad for Tuesday night's clash with Tranmere. Forster has also handed a trial to his former Brighton team-mate George O'Callaghan.
