Huddersfield winger Anthony Pilkington must put his allegiance to Lancashire on hold in Saturday's clash with Oldham.
Stockport-born Pilkington wears his red rose with pride, but will be pulling out all the stops for the Terriers as Lee Clark's side bid to climb back into the automatic promotion places.
Pilkington, who joined Huddersfield from Stockport for an undisclosed fee in January 2009, said: "I'm a proud Lancastrian, but this Saturday I understand where my allegiances lie.
"I'm proud to be a Terrier and will give 100% against Oldham.
"The players understand the importance of derby games for fans and we'll do everything we can to give the Town bragging rights over their local rivals come 5pm on Saturday.
"But Oldham are going very well in the league at the moment and will prove very tough opponents, ones that we are not underestimating."
