Robins boss hails striker

Elliot Benyon earned the praise of Danny Wilson after netting on his Swindon debut to salvage a point against Rochdale.

Striker Benyon, a deadline-day signing from Torquay, converted a 92nd-minute equaliser at the County Ground on Saturday to snatch a point which took the Robins out of the drop zone. And Wilson said: "He gets into great positions in the box. I don't think he's going to be one of these players who's going to be linking play together, he needs somebody beside him. "You saw him at the end there, he had once chance and he took it and it looks like he's going to be a tremendous striker." Wilson continued: "I know there's frustration, there's frustration in the dressing room. We know in lots of areas we're doing well, but in the key areas it's where we need the help. "It showed (on Saturday) we need somebody strong up front to hold the ball up. Unfortunately we didn't keep the ball half as much which is frustrating for the midfielders. We're not mounting enough pressure to make the opposition make mistakes."
