Exodus Geohaghon has returned to Peterborough United after his loan spell at Shrewsbury Town was cut short by injury.
Geohaghon sustained a knee injury in the 1-1 draw at Stevenage last month and only recently returned to training but, having subsequently had to pull out, further scans have discovered a cartilage tear which requires surgery.
His loan was due to end in early January but the centre-back is now facing several weeks on the sidelines.
