Thomas Cruise hopes spending the start of the season marking Samir Nasri will improve his chances in Carlisle's team.
The 19-year-old admits the experience of training regularly with Arsene Wenger's stars has fuelled his ambition to prove he can cut it at the top.
"It's great training with the Arsenal team," Cruise told the News & Star. "And it can only benefit you training alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri.
"At first I was starstruck when I saw them but it's something I've got used to.
"Training with them is fantastic experience. It really helps your game and it's just such a fantastic football education.
"Arsenal were happy for the loan here to be extended. They prefer you to gain experience playing against men in League One than against boys in the reserves."
