Manager Paul Ince believes defender Sam Sodje could soon be ready to make his full debut for Notts County.
Sodje was Ince's first signing at Meadow Lane but has only managed five minutes in the FA Cup tie with Gateshead so far.
But after having an injection in his troublesome knee, Ince believes the Nigerian-born stopper will ready for action again shortly.
The Magpies boss said: "He's been working really hard in the gym. Because he has been trying to get himself fit and into the first team, he has overdone it.
"He's had a (knee) problem throughout his career. It's been a long-term thing.
"It's nothing that hinders him though but we just have to monitor it and be careful with it.
"He is coming along nicely. We've had his knee drained and now he's fine."
