Posh striker in fitness vow

Peterborough United striker Dave Hibbert has vowed to return stronger and fitter than ever from his current knee problem.

The 24-year-old suffered a dislocated kneecap in the FA Cup replay win over Stockport earlier this month and is expected to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Hibbert told the club's official website: "It has obviously been a disappointing period for me and I have a lot of work to do, but I am determined to work hard and come back stronger and fitter than ever. "It is obviously very sore at the minute. I have to undergo an operation on Friday to rectify the injury and after that I have to be in a knee brace for six weeks before I step it up and try and get the knee moving again. "I am not a good watcher of games, I want to be involved playing, but I know I have to remain very patient. I just hope the lads have a good Christmas and push on from there."
