Robbo backs Didi to succeed

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson believes ex-Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has what it takes to become a manager.

Robinson has promoted the former German international to first-team coach following the departure of Alex Rae to Notts County last week and has no doubt the 37-year-old has what it takes. He said: "I've promoted Didi Hamann to first-team coach, given him a lot more responsibility and he will do a lot more coaching. "You look at his credentials. He's been away to the Bernabeu, played in the Champions League final, played in a World Cup final and can only add to us. "He's an incredible man with great morals and works very well with us. "In the long run I'd like to think he could become a manager. I've worked under a lot of people over the past 12 years and learned a lot and I will pass all that on to him."
