Pompey boss expects Mokoena and Hreidarsson to stay

Steve Cotterill is confident Portsmouth will tie up deals to keep Aaron Mokoena and Hermann Hreidarsson at the club. Pompey are rock-bottom in the Championship after a winless start to the season following their relegation from the Premier League last term. The South Coasters have fared much better in the Carling Cup this season and could book their place in the fourth round with a win against fellow Championship strugglers Leicester. And Cotterill expects skipper Mokoena and long-serving defender Hreidarsson to be part of Pompey's next cup outing, should they see off the Foxes at Fratton Park on Tuesday night. "Aaron Mokoena's contract is 99.9 per cent done," Cotterill told Sky Sports News. "And with regards to Hermann Hreidarsson, there was some stupid comments by his agent that were silly. "I was annoyed when I read something on your website which got emailed to me saying Hermann hadn't been looked after - Hermann gets looked after absolutely magnificently at this club and so he should be. "He's an excellent player and a great guy to have around the place and we're looking to have him in the next couple of weeks when a contract is sorted."
