George Boyd says Peterborough are desperate for Saturday's game with Oldham to shake off their defeat at Tranmere.
Gary Johnson's side were surprisingly beaten 1-0 by Rovers last weekend but Boyd is confident of a positive response from Gary Johnson's side.
Boyd said: "We are gutted we didn't have a game in midweek because we wanted to get last weekend out of our systems straight away, but we will bounce back on Saturday.
"We know a win will take us above Oldham and that is exactly what we are after. We want to pick up as many points and get into the best possible position as soon as we can.
"We have made a solid start, just as the gaffer wanted, and we could easily be top of the table right now. We are still only one point away from it despite having a couple of defeats."
