Swindon boss Danny Wilson has admitted he regrets the sale of Gordon Greer to League One rivals Brighton.
Wilson is currently on the lookout for a replacement for his former captain and centre-back, with Town having struggled defensively in the opening weeks of the season.
They have shipped six goals in three games following Greer's £250,000 move to the Withdean Stadium.
"There is a regret, of course there are regrets," Wilson told the Advertiser. "Let's be quite honest, though, we were found in a position where we couldn't do much about it.
"We're in a similar position to the one we were when I first came to the club, and we needed that position. We got one, we got a very good one, and now we either need to identify another Gordon or get the best out of the boys who are here at this moment in time.
"And if that doesn't happen then we do really have to go out and get the type of person that we got when we brought Gordon in."
