Midfielder leaves Rovers on six-month loan

Midfielder Mark Wright has joined Shrewsbury on a six-month loan deal from Bristol Rovers. The 28-year-old, who was informed he is free to look for another club by Rovers, agreed the move to Greenhous Meadow before the paperwork was then completed in time for him to join his new team-mates for training. "He's a player I've admired for a while and tried to sign when I was at Hereford but he ended up going to MK Dons," Shrews manager Graham Turner told the club's official website. "He has been promoted whilst at Walsall and at MK Dons so brings that experience to the side. "He doesn't seem to be in the plans at Bristol Rovers at the moment so that has allowed us to take the opportunity to bring him to Shrewsbury. "He is a quick winger who can weigh in with his fair share of goals and will be a great addition to the squad."
