Timlin stays, Easton departs Swindon

Swindon Town's Michael Timlin has signed a new contract while fellow midfielder Craig Easton has left after turning down fresh terms. Timlin has been with the Robins since 2008 and is now preparing for a third full season after extending his stay by an additional 12 months. The former Fulham trainee had loan spells with Scunthorpe and Doncaster before joining Swindon, initially on loan. Timlin made 21 League One appearances last term and, while he is staying at the club, Easton has departed the Country Ground. Ex-Leyton Orient man Easton has turned down the chance to extend his Swindon stay in search of first-team football elsewhere.
