Thomson: Can't wait to get started
Jake Thomson is eager to get started after the former Southampton winger secured a move to Exeter City.
Skysports.com revealed earlier on Thursday that the Grecians had lined up a deal for Thomson following his departure from Southampton.
The 21-year-old joins Artur Krysiak and Billy Jones in making the move to St James Park and is delighted to have the opportunity to play for Paul Tisdale's side.
"My agent called me over the summer and asked if I wanted to come down here and meet the manager," Thomson told the club's official website.
"And after speaking to him for an hour or so I knew I wanted to come and join the club.
"He impressed me straight away and I told my agent to sort it out and get me here as quick as he could.
"I can't wait to start playing. It has been about six months since I played my last game so I just want to get on the field with the ball at my feet again. It cannot come quick enough."
