Shrews defender to sign upon return from holiday

Peterborough United expect to finalise the signing of Kelvin Langmead upon the Shrewsbury Town defender's return from holiday. Skysports.com revealed last week that Posh were closing in on Langmead and a fee has been agreed between the two clubs. Langmead has accepted the offer of a move to London Road and Peterborough's director of football Barry Fry is not anticipating any issues in tying up the transfer. Fry told the Peterborough Evening Telegraph: "We have done a deal with Shrewsbury and I agreed terms with the player's agent over the weekend. "Kelvin is away in Mexico at the moment, but he will sign on the dotted line as soon as he returns. "It is all systems go and there won't be any hitches." Langmead will join up with former Shrewsbury team-mate Dave Hibbert at Peterborough after the striker agreed a three-year contract.
