Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade has signed Dean Cox as he continues to put his stamp on the squad.
The 22-year-old has switched to Brisbane Road on a two-year deal after he was released by League One rivals Brighton at the end of the season.
Cox is the seventh summer signing of ex-Seagulls boss Slade, who took over the London outfit in April and kept the Os in League One.
Slade is delighted to have his former player back on board, revealing there was competition from other clubs for his signature.
He told the club's official website: "Dean's a midfield player who enjoys scoring goals. He has a great energy and attitude and a real desire to win.
"His enthusiasm is infectious and will rub off on the other players.
"There was big competition for him - three other clubs in this division were keen for his signature - so I'm delighted to team up with him again."
