Defender open to offers

Aaron Lescott is hoping to find a new club as soon as possible after parting ways with Bristol Rovers. The 31-year-old defender is set to become a free agent after being deemed surplus to requirements at the Memorial Stadium. Lescott has spent the last six years with Rovers, making over 200 appearances for the club. The time has come to move on, though, with opportunities becoming increasingly limited. He was sent out on loan to Cheltenham in March, where he quickly settled and put in a number of assured displays. Lescott, who is the older brother of Manchester City ace Joleon, will hope that his considerable experience now plays into his hands. He started out on the books of Aston Villa, before going on to represent Lincoln City, Sheffield Wednesday and Stockport County.
