Former Germany international Dietmar Hamann has joined League One outfit MK Dons as player-coach.
The ex-Liverpool and Manchester City midfielder has penned a one-year deal with the ambitious third tier side.
He becomes the latest addition to Karl Robinson's squad as the Dons put preparations in place for a promotion push in 2010/11.
The 36-year-old will certainly bring plenty of experience to the fold and his signing represents quite a coup for the Dons.
Hamann will need to work on his fitness over the summer, though, having missed out entirely on the 2009/10 campaign.
He was released by Manchester City in the summer of 2009 but failed to find another club.
That comes as something of a surprise for a man who has graced the World Cup final, the UEFA Champions League final and has 62 international caps to his name.
Hamann has, however, suffered with injuries throughout his career and the Dons must handle him with care if they are to benefit from his considerable presence.
