Keeper offers gratitude to Poyet for bringing him in

Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Peter Brezovan has signed a new two-year contract with the League One club. Brezovan has made 20 appearances for the Seagulls since joining on an initial short-term deal back in December. The former Swindon Town keeper has now been rewarded with a long-term contract and he has offered his gratitude to manager Gus Poyet. "It's quite important for me that I've finished the season strongly and now I have the opportunity to carry that on next year," Brezovan told the club's official website. "It is great to have sorted out the deal and it will be brilliant to be involved at the club for the next two years. "I owe a lot to the manager because he brought me to the club and I'm glad he wants me to stay. That's why it was so easy to sign the deal. "The manager will no doubt bring in more good players in the summer and so it's going to be an exciting season." Meanwhile, Brighton have taken Celta Vigo B centre-half David Garcia-Baquero on trial for the week.
