Striker struggling to be fit for start of next season
Wycombe Wanderers striker Stuart Beavon faces a battle to be fit for the start of next season after suffering a broken leg.
The forward was injured in the reserves' Berks & Bucks Cup final defeat to Maidenhead United on Monday and an X-ray has revealed that he has cracked his left fibula.
Beavon has been ruled out for an initial three months, meaning he will miss the start of pre-season training and is likely to sit out the opening of the 2010/11 campaign.
The 25-year-old had scored three goals in 25 League One appearances this season and appeared as a substitute in Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Leyton Orient, which condemned Wycombe to relegation.
