Grimsby have signed MK Dons defender Jude Stirling on loan until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old was ruled out until December with a long-term groin injury and has joined the Mariners after failing to break back into Paul Ince's starting XI.
Grimsby manager Neil Woods has signed Stirling - who boasts a Rory Delap style throw - after Olly Lancashire and Paul Linwood picked up injuries.
Stirling went straight into the starting line-up for Saturday's home clash with Bournemouth.
