Exeter manager Paul Tisdale has revealed that midfielder David Noble has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
The 27-year-old is still recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury he picked up in pre-season and Tisdale admitted that the prognosis is not good.
"He has not played a reserve game yet and hopefully he will be able to do so at some point," Tisdale told the Exeter Express and Echo.
"Even when he starts playing he will still be some way from the first team so we are looking at next year."
The former Bristol City midfielder has yet to play for the Grecians after joining the club in the January transfer window.
