Brentford manager Andy Scott has opened contract talks with striker Charlie MacDonald.
Scott is hoping the nine-goal forward will follow the example of winger Myles Weston, who put pen to paper on a new deal earlier this week.
Discussions are taking place and Scott plans to propose the new agreement to the Brentford hierarchy at the end of February.
"I have been speaking to Charlie and we want to get him signed up," said Scott.
"There is a board meeting at the end of the month and I'll be putting it to them then. He's a real goalscorer and they are not easy to find."
