Leyton Orient have announced that midfielder JJ Melligan has left the club following the termination of his contract by mutual consent.
The 27-year had featured 19 times for Geraint Williams' League One side this season and scored in the first two matches of the campaign against Bristol Rovers and Colchester.
But Williams has still agreed to let Melligan leave Brisbane Road and the Irishman will now be a free agent.
A statement on Orient's official website read: "JJ Melligan has left the club after his contract was cancelled by mutual consent."
Melligan has also spent time at Wolves, Bournemouth, Kidderminster, Doncaster and Cheltenham during his career.
