Striker enjoying playing for League One club

Carlisle United striker Vincent Pericard has revealed he would be happy to sign a contract extension at Brunton Park. The former Stoke striker has bagged six goals for the Cumbrians since joining on a short-term deal in October, helping United turn from relegation candidates to play-off contenders. His stay with Greg Abbott's side is scheduled to end on 12th January, and his form has brought him to the attention of other clubs. Abbott expressed his hope last week that the 27-year-old would stay until the end of the season and Pericard admits it would take a big offer to make him leave. "From Saturday, I can say it is going to take a lot for another team to make me an offer I can't refuse," Pericard told the News and Star. "I am happy here. And the challenge of starting near the bottom and getting to the play-offs is really something."
