Wycombe Wanderers striker Stuart Beavon has been ruled out for six weeks after undergoing a groin operation.

The former Weymouth man has been struggling with the injury for some time and has now had surgery which will keep him out until mid-December.

Beavon has yet to feature since Gary Waddock took over as manager at Adams Park earlier this month, but could return for the hectic Christmas schedule.

Waddock told the club's official website: "I'm looking forward to having him back fit and ready for selection."

The 25-year-old has made a total of 17 appearances since joining Wycombe in February, initially on loan, and scored his first goal for the club in last month's 1-1 draw at Hartlepool United.
