Carlisle United are in talks to sign Scunthorpe United winger Kevan Hurst as a replacement for Cleveland Taylor.
The League One club sold Taylor to Brentford during the week and have lined up a move for Hurst, who is out of favour at Glanford Park.
The wide man only signed a new two-year contract with Scunthorpe last month, but he has not featured in any of the club's three games so far this season.
Scunthorpe have now confirmed that the 23-year-old has been offered the chance to secure a move to Greg Abbott's Carlisle side.
Though the two clubs have yet to agree a fee, Hurst is spending the weekend weighing up whether to drop down from the Championship in order to join the Cumbrians.
