Jamaican becomes 12th summer signing at Griffin Park

Brentford have completed the signing of winger Cleveland Taylor from League One rivals Carlisle United for an undisclosed fee. The Jamaican becomes boss Andy Scott's 12th summer signing after agreeing a two-year deal at Griffin Park and could make his debut against Brighton on Saturday. Taylor was part of the Carlisle side which lost 3-1 to Brentford at Brunton Park last week and his new boss Scott has finally landed the 25-year-old after a long pursuit. "I have been tracking Cleveland for a year and those who were at Carlisle on Saturday will have seen the attributes he can bring to the club," he said. "We have a lot more pace, power and energy about us this year and the signing of Cleveland gives us even more healthy competition for places."
