Hartlepool have continued to strengthen their squad with the signing of Colin Larkin.
The 27-year-old striker was allowed to leave Northampton at the end of last season after two seasons at Sixfields.
He has spent time on trial with Chris Turner's squad over the summer and has performed well enough to earn a permanent deal.
"I have known Colin since he was 16," Turner told his club's official website.
"Once again, the thing about it all is that I know what he can do, what he can bring to us.
"He has the pace to get behind and hold the ball up well. By bringing Colin in, it adds to the quality strikers that we all have in place."
