League One outfit Brighton & Hove Albion have handed a trial to Crawley left-back Jake Wright.
The 23-year-old caught the Seagulls' eye during a pre-season friendly on Friday, in which Brighton slipped to a 1-0 defeat against their non-league opponents.
Wright will now be given the opportunity to stake a claim for a full-time contract with the South Coast side.
He is expected to be awarded a run-out in Brighton's latest outing against Torquay on Tuesday, the club's penultimate fixture before the start of the new season.
Fellow trialist Andreas Chronis is also in line to feature at Plainmoor, with the defender hoping to convince Russell Slade that he is deserving of a permanent deal.
