MK Dons striker Jemal Johnson has signed a two-year deal to extend his stay at the club.
Johnson looked to be on his way out of stadium:mk following the expiration of his contract at the end of last month.
However, MK Dons have remained in talks with the 24-year-old and the American has opted to stay with the League One side.
"Nothing is ever simple in football and it has taken some time to arrange, but we're delighted to have JJ back on board," MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman told the club's official website.
"He showed at times last season that he is capable of producing fantastic performances and, now that his future has been decided, I think we can look forward to seeing him produce those on a regular basis.
"His explosive qualities make him the kind of player that excites a crowd and I know the fans will be as pleased as I am about his return."
