Yeovil defender extends stay at Huish Park

Yeovil have announced that defender Terrell Forbes has signed an extension to his current contract. The 27-year-old has played 141 games in all competitions since joining the Glovers in summer 2006. The former West Ham youngster graduated from the same successful youth team as Joe Cole and Michael Carrick but failed to make a first team appearance for the Hammers. A move to QPR kick-started Forbes' career in 2001 before moves to Grimsby and Oldham preceded his switch to Yeovil.

Trial

Meanwhile, manager Terry Skiverton is set to cast an eye over former England Under-21 international Dan Harding in training this week. The 25-year-old is currently trialing with the League One club following his release from Ipswich after three years at Portman Road. The defender, who can also play in midfield, was loaned out to Southend and Reading last term but didn't do enough to earn a new contract with the Tractor Boys. Harding, who started his career at Brighton and once cost Leeds £850,000 in July 2005, could feature in the Errea South-West Challenge Cup next week.
