Brentford have completed the signing of out-of-contract winger Myles Weston from Notts County.
Weston had turned down a new deal at Meadow Lane, although the Magpies will be entitled to compensation as he is under 24.
Magpies boss Ian McParland expressed his belief earlier this week that the former Charlton Athletic youngster would be a making a mistake in leaving Meadow Lane.
However, Weston is happy to have linked up with Brentford and is determined to make an impact in League One this season.
"I'm really pleased to be here, I played against Brentford in both games last season and was impressed," Weston told the club's official website.
"The squad is young and talented and definitely capable of stepping up to the next level - people should not be writing us off in terms of making a challenge for more success.
"League One is full of big teams, and having been released by Charlton a couple of years ago I have to say that they are the games I'm particularly looking forward to - I feel I've got a point to prove, although there are plenty of big games from the off, I can't wait."
