Motherwell have confirmed the signing of midfielder Steven Jennings on a free transfer from Tranmere Rovers.
Skysports.com revealed the 24-year-old had been lined up to become new Well manager Jim Gannon's first signing at Fir Park.
The SPL club have now sealed Jennings' capture, subject to receiving the necessary international clearance.
However, the deal has not been finalised in time for Jennings to be involved in Motherwell's Europa League qualifying tie with Llanelli on Thursday night.
Jennings had been on the books of Everton as a youngster before moving to Tranmere and he made more than 160 appearances during his time at Prenton Park.
He was offered a new deal with the League One club, but has accepted the chance to link up with former Stockport boss Gannon in Scotland.
