John Sheridan insists he will 'not lose any sleep' over Lewis Montrose's decision to join Wycombe Wanderers ahead of Chesterfield.
Montrose enjoyed a loan spell at Chesterfield last season and was expected to join the League Two club when his Wigan Athletic contract expired.
However, the 20-year-old has turned down a return to Saltergate in favour of signing a two-year contract with League One new boys Wycombe.
Sheridan is disappointed by Montrose's decision, but the new Spireites boss will not dwell on missing out on a potential new signing.
"Although I am disappointed with Lewis'decision I only want players who wish to play 100% for Chesterfield," Sheridan told the club's official website.
"Clearly that is not the case here, so I'm not losing any sleep over it and we quickly move on."
