Carlisle United boss Greg Abbott has played down reports he has made an approach for Bury striker Andy Bishop.
Danny Graham's impending departure from Brunton Park is likely to lead Abbott into adding a new forward to his squad before the start of the season.
Bishop, who has scored goals on a regular basis during three years at Bury, has been mooted as a possible replacement for Graham.
However, while not ruling out a future bid for the 26-year-old, Abbott confirmed he currently has no plans to sign the former York City man.
"You have to be on the ball with players who have done OK in other divisions, and we know about Andy Bishop," Abbott told the News & Star.
"But he is not a player we have enquired about, or spoken about at length.
"I am not discounting him, but I have not had any conversations with Bury about Andy."
Bishop's future with Bury had been in doubt earlier this year and he was linked with Bradford City before signing a contract to stay at Gigg Lane until 2012.
