Adam Boyd has declared himself more than content with a fixture list that he feels will help Hartlepool in the forthcoming campaign.
The Pools favourite has returned to Victoria Park after leaving Leyton Orient in the summer and is keen to hit the ground running.
Boyd, 27, is confident Hartlepool should start strongly and is also optimistic that they will be in a favourable position to push for promotion, given the fixture schedule, should they still be in the running at the season's conclusion.
Pools travel to MK Dons on 8th August, with Charlton arriving at Victoria Park on 15th August and Bristol Rovers visiting on the following Tuesday.
"The fixture list is out now and it looks good for us," Boyd told the club's official website.
"MK Dons are strong and we're not sure how Charlton will be but we have to fancy our chances against Bristol Rovers so the opening period is exciting.
"I think the biggest bonus from the schedule is the last 12 games. If we can hang around in mid-table or perhaps a little higher then we'll be well-placed and we'd have to fancy ourselves to pick up quite a few points from those fixtures."
