Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson has confirmed his interest in signing Hartlepool United winger Matty Robson.
The 24-year-old is to become a free agent after turning down a new contract at Hartlepool, where he has spent his entire career.
Wilson worked with Robson in the North East and admits the speedy wide man would add a different dimension to his team.
"I've enquired about him and an agent phoned me about him, but I haven't taken it any further at the moment," Wilson told the Swindon Advertiser.
"He's got very good assets that we haven't got here. What he's got is a massive amount of pace, and in some areas that is more than we've got here."
David Lucas and Gordon Greer have already arrived at the Country Ground this summer, and Wilson is keen to bring in further recruits.
He added: "We are still pursuing two or three other areas that we need strengthening and I would like to think that things will gather momentum next week.
"Hopefully by the middle of next week we will have another signing in, but we do need more than the two or three that have been talked about.
"It does take time, but when you do identify players it's good to get things moving once the due process is followed."
